Patient Care Bio
Dr. Meirelles is an Assistant Professor in the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He earned his degree in dentistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and an additional degree in prosthodontics in Brazil. He also holds a Ph.D. in biomaterials, and he serves as an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. His laboratory work has led to insights about preparing teeth for dental implants, and the effect of these implants on the bones of the mouth.
