“I treat my patients with the same level of respect and attention that I would expect a doctor to provide to my own family.”

Area of Expertise

• Coronary artery disease
• Heart failure
• Mechanical circulatory support
• Shock
• Valvular heart disease

Area of Special Interest

• Minimally invasive cardiac surgery

I chose Cardiothoracic Surgery because to me, heart surgery is both science and art. The science is in how it all works and deciding what to do, and the art is in opening the heart up and putting it back together again. I get to do all of that in order to help people live.

My approach to patient care is that I treat my patients with the same level of respect and attention that I would expect a doctor to provide to my own family. As a proud alumnus of the University of Rochester Medical School, I could not imagine a greater place to practice medicine.
