Biography

Professional Background

After graduating from Columbia University with a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics, Dr. Reinish completed the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program at Johns Hopkins University to begin her medical studies. Drawn by the biopsychosocial model of medicine, she came to the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry for medical school, where she afterwards completed her Pediatrics Residency at Golisano Children's Hospital. She went on to complete the Academic General Pediatrics fellowship at the University of Rochester, during which she obtained her Master's Degree in Health Professions Education and developed curricula for teaching trainees, faculty, and interdisciplinary team members about protecting adolescent confidentiality amid the electronic healthcare environment. Her scholarly interests include improving access to confidential healthcare for adolescent patients, optimizing use of the electronic medical record, and teaching and mentoring medical students. In addition to her faculty role at GCH's Pediatric Practice, she serves as Assistant Director of the Primary Care Clerkship and Director of Medical Student Electives for the School of Medicine.
