Biography

Dr. Armando Villarreal, is an associate clinical professor in our department, board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He completed his residency at Temple University and his fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. His area of interest is neuropathic pain and the use of neuromodulation techniques.

Dr. Villarreal is part of the executive board of the Special Interest Group in Neuromodulation from IASP, as well as the newsletter liaison from the American Society of Regional Anesthesia Neuromodulation SIG. He has been involved on several neuromodulation studies and is also member of the Educational committee of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He also completed a Masters in Business Administration from University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN.
