Dr. Frantz is a graduate from the Sydney Kimmel Medical School at Thomas Jefferson University. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Hobart Armory Hare Medical Societies at Jefferson. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester.

After completion of her residency, Dr Frantz opened a private practice in Primary Care Internal Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
She was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Frantz was the first women president of the Lackawanna College Medical Society.
She has faculty appointments at The Commonwealth Medical College, Scranton, Pennsylvania and the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Rochester, New York.
