Dr. Heather Busick is an internal medicine and pediatrics physician at URMC’s Highland Hospital Emergency department Observation Unit.. She is also URMC’s Associate Chief Medical Information Officer, a role that has strengthened her interest in how health inequities can be driven by health related social needs.
Dr. Busick has leveraged her passion for health equity as the program owner for the Health Equity & Anti-Racism Technology (HEART) Program, which seeks to provide clinicians and staff with tools to screen, view and address health related social needs using the electronic health record.
