Biography

Dr. Klein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She is a member of the Flaum Eye Institute's faculty practice Well Eye Care team at the Strong Memorial location and also provides comprehensive optometric services at Strong Vision at College Town.

Dr. Klein is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry and completed an optometric residency at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she specialized in primary eye care and ocular disease. After relocation to the Chicago area, she provided primary eye care and ocular disease management as well as student mentoring at the Advocate Health clinic at the Illinois Eye Institute, Illinois College of Optometry. She was also on staff at the Chicago Veterans Administration hospital.

Dr. Klein has experience caring for a diverse population emphasizing the treatment and management of glaucoma, uveitis, diabetes and the co-management with ophthalmologists of surgical cases. She been an active participant in the American Academy of Optometry and has made presentations and lectures at national and regional optometric meetings. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and is licensed to practice optometry by the New York State Office of the Professions.
