Dr. Ding is interested in studying the role of ions in regulating physiological and pathological processes in central nervous system. With powerful technical tools of electrophysiology recording and 2-photon in vivo imaging, as well as transgenic animal models and pharmacological methods, Dr. Ding is working on exploring the roles of ions in relation with sleep/wake states, EEG pattern, neuromodulators, ion channels and receptors in brain.
