Patient Care Setting

My clinical interests include providing care for critically ill neonates in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), with a focus on infants requiring surgical intervention.
I participate in quality improvement projects aimed at strengthening care for our surgical infants, and education to member of the nursing and medical team who care for these infants.
Beyond my clinical responsibilities, I am the Pediatric Clerkship director. I thoroughly enjoy highlighting all that pediatrics has to offer to our bright and enthusiastic medical students. I am passionate about innovation and quality of curriculum design, as well as being committed to aligning our clerkship experience to national standards.

As a member of our Neonatal Research Team, I am involved in advancing clinical research projects within our institution and collaborating with other large-center NICUs through the Neonatal research network, a division of the National Institute of Health.
