Professional Bio

Dr. Gonzalez obtained his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia in 2008, followed by residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Emory University. He completed fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Gastrointestinal Pathology at Vanderbilt University, where he also worked as an Instructor. He joined the University of Rochester as an Assistant Professor of Pathology in 2014.
His professional interests are in the fields of gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreatobiliary pathology. His research includes studies on colorectal and pancreatobiliary neoplasia and the morphology of non-neoplastic liver disease. He is also interested in the education and training of pathology residents.
