Professional Background

Shahnawaz Qureshi, D.O. is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Neurosurgery who provides neurosurgery services at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, a member of the Arnot Health system and practices at UR Medicine's Southern Tier Neuromedicine office in Big Flats. Dr. Qureshi's interests include General Neurosurgery, Brain, Spine and Pituitary Tumors, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Complex Spine Fusions, Adult Spinal Deformity & Revision Surgery.

Dr. Qureshi completed a trauma fellowship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in July 2013 and was a Clinical Instructor and attending physician at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center since 2011. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2011. Prior to this, he was a neurosurgery resident at UOCOM-Doctor's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio from 2006 to 2008. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy at Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999. He completed his neurosurgical training at Western University in Colton, CA.
