Radiation Oncology is an ever evolving field that provides an opportunity to utilize both physics and biology to help patients with cancer. My goal is to give my patients the best care possible by learning and applying the continuous advancements occurring in cancer treatment. I strive to provide the best understanding of evidence based medicine for any situation, while emphasizing shared decision making with the patient and family. My areas of interest include the utilization of brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers, genitourinary cancers, as well as skin cancers. I also maintain a general radiation oncology practice and feel comfortable treating all other disease sites. On a personal note – my name Khush means “happy” in my native language. I aim to embody my name by maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude with colleagues and patients, while staying respectful and prepared for the challenges of cancer.Professional BackgroundUniversity of Rochester Medical Center: 2021 Residency, Radiation Oncology University of Mississippi Medical Center: 2017 Internship, Medicine University of Mississippi Medical Center: 2016 MD University of Mississippi: 2012 BA Clinical Experience • IMRT, VMAT, IGRT through Varian, TomoTherapy, and Elekta machines • SBRT though Varian and BrainLab Systems • SRS/SRT, frameless and framed with BrainLab and Varian systems • Inspiration and Expiration breath hold with infra-red and patient feedback • SpaceOAR, HDR and LDR brachytherapy for Prostate cancer • HDR brachytherapy for gynecologic sites • Y-90 microspheres • Aria and Mosaiq record and verify systems • Eclipse and Pinnacle contour and planning systemsCredentialsEducation2016MD | University Of Mississippi Medical Center (USA)Post-doctoral Training & Residency07/01/2017 - 06/30/2021Residency in Radiation Oncology at University of Rochester Medical Center07/01/2016 - 06/30/2017Internship in Internal Medicine at University of Mississippi Medical CenterAwards2019Strong Star Certification of Faculty Appreciation2018ASTRO Annual Conference – Mini-Oral Scientific Session Presenter2017Strong Star Certification of Patient Appreciation2016Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Inductee2016Medical Student Research Scholar, Graduation Distinction2014American College of Rheumatology Research Travel Award2012Summa Cum Laude – University of Mississippi2008 - 2012McDonnell-Barksdale Honors College full academic scholarshipVIEW ALL expand_morePublicationsJournal Articles2/2019Milano MT, Katz AW, Zhang H, Huggins CF, Aujla KS, Okunieff P.
