He went on to complete his MD from St. George's University in Grenada and trained in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical Center in the South Bronx of New York City; he also took on the role of Chief Medical Resident in his final year of residency. Dr. Jilani joined the Hospital Medicine Division at University of Rochester in 2018 and has taken a head-on approach into multiple areas of interest. Dr. Jilani is a proceduralist on the Bedside Procedure Team; he is co-leading the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness Committee (IDEA) within the division. Dr. Jilani strives on advocating for equitable and just care for his patients and is currently focused on starting a Sickle Cell Cohort within URMC.
