About Me

Professional Background

Dr. Farugia provides primary eye care for all ages including prescribing contact lenses and glasses. She treats glaucoma, dry eyes, monitors macular degeneration, and is involved in post-op care after cataract surgery. Her goal is to promote and maintain healthy eyes. Dr. Farugia provides primary eye care for all ages including prescribing contact lenses and glasses. She treats glaucoma, dry eyes, monitors macular degeneration, and is involved in post-op care after cataract surgery. Her goal is to promote and maintain healthy eyes. She founded Family Eyecare Associates of Webster in 1988 and joined the Flaum Eye Institute in October 2018.

Dr. Farugia received her Bachelor's in biochemistry from Niagara University and her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometry Society, as well as a member of the New York and local chapters of AOS.
