Kelly Pillinger, PharmD, BCPS-AQ ID, BCIDP joined the University of Rochester Medical Center in July 2018. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at the University of North Carolina Medical Center. She has been practicing as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist since 2012.

Her professional interests include treatment of infections due to multi-drug resistant gram-negative organisms (CRE), immunocompromised/bone marrow transplant population, and antimicrobial stewardship. She is passionate about clinical research and has published numerous articles and posters as well as book chapters in infectious diseases. She serves as a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacists (ACCP) and as an active member of several committees for the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP). She is actively engaged in teaching and has precepted over 25 residents and pharmacy students. She currently serves as the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director.
