Biography

Dr. Yacob joined UR Medicine in 2020 working as a pain management specialist. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a sub-specialty in Pain Medicine. After Dr. Yacob graduated medical school he went on to complete training in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology. He also completed training in pain management at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Yacob has been Director of Pain Management at Upper Allegheny Health System as well as Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Yacob treats many conditions including abdominal/pelvic pain, cancer-related pain, complex regional pain syndromes, headache and facial pain, pain of the back, neck, knee and hip, nerve injuries/peripheral neuropathy, peripheral joint pain, post-herpetic neuralgia/shingles, spinal radiculopathy, sports injuries, and thoracic and chest wall pain.
