How much is tuition?  Rates for 2019-2020*

  • Full Time Matriculated (2 years – 6 semesters):  Flat fee of $12,468.00 per semester
  • Part time Matriculated:  $1,246.00 per credit hour
  • Non-matriculated:  $1,654.00 per credit hour (3.0 credit hours X $1654 = $4,962.00)
  • Audit: $190.00 (per credit hour) Instructors Permission Only​

Registration and More Information

  • Current Matriculated Master Students: Registration materials will be sent to all students by April 1st.  All documents must be submitted to Diana Julian by Friday, April 12,  to insure we can process and submit to Graduate Education & Post-doctoral Affairs office by the deadline.  Registrations received after this date may result in a late fee of $150.
  • Non-matriculated Students: Registration begins April 1st and deadline is April 22, 2019 for processing.  For more information on a course or to have registration materials sent to you, please complete our Request Form, or contact:

Integrated Care And Medical Family Therapy
PSI 492  / CRN 20724 / 3.0 credit hrs
PSI 498 / CRN 20759 / 0.0 credit hrs

This week long intensive blends didactic and experiential methods to teach students how to work with families dealing with illness and how to collaborate with physicians from other health care professionals. The Intensive course is a 3 credit course with the University of Rochester and all students will get a certificate of completion upon successfully completing the course. There is not an option to audit this course.

Family Therapy Practice
PSI 562 / CRN 20762 / 3.0 credit hours

This course prepares students for beginning clinical practice by increasing their practical knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment.  Throughout the semester students demonstrate competencies in: clinical practice administration including informed consent and how to communicate with patients outside of session; family therapy interventions across a number of common presenting problems, including depression and anxiety; clinical documentation in the electronic health record; and how to transfer and terminate patients.

Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy will teach students couples therapy theory and technique using readings in the field and examination of videotape, role play experiences and other case material.

Family Therapy Research
PSI 572 CRN 20786 (3.0 credit hours)

In Family Therapy Research students will be introduced to quantitative and qualitative methods in family therapy research and will learn to critically examine and utilize research findings in clinical practice.
