How much is tuition?  Rates for 2014-15*

  • Full Time Matriculated (2 years – 6 semesters):  Flat fee of $32,625 per year
  • Part time Matriculated:  $1087 per credit hour
  • Non-matriculated:  $1442 per credit hour
  • Audit: $176.00 (per credit hour)

*The rates for 2015-2016 will be available July, 2015 and are subject to increase each year.

Summer 2015 course registration for all graduate students are due in the Offices for Graduate Education by April 29, 2015.
PLEASE NOTE: Registrations received after this date may result in a $150 late charge to the student’s account.

  • Current matriculated MS students: will receive registration materials and information in your student mail box. Please submit all documents to Diana Julian by April 24th to ensure we can process and submit to GEPA by the April 30th deadline.

Medical Family Therapy Intensive
PSI 492  / CRN 19825 / 3.0 credit hrs
PSI 498 / CRN 19844 / 0.0 credit hrs

This week long intensive blends didactic and experiential methods to teach students how to work with families dealing with illness and how to collaborate with physicians from other health care professionals. The MFTI course is a 3 credit course with the University of Rochester and all students will get a certificate of completion upon successfully completing the course. There is not an option to audit this course.

Family Therapy Practice
PSI 562 / CRN 19857 / 3.0 credit hours

This course prepares students for beginning clinical practice by increasing their practical knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment.  Throughout the semester students demonstrate competencies in: clinical practice administration including informed consent and how to communicate with patients outside of session; family therapy interventions across a number of common presenting problems, including depression and anxiety; clinical documentation in the electronic health record; and how to transfer and terminate patients.

Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy will teach students couples therapy theory and technique using readings in the field and examination of videotape, role play experiences and other case material.
