DOM-INNATE: Study of SGX942 for the Treatment of Oral Mucositis in Patients With Concomitant Chemoradiation Therapy for Head and Neck Cancer

Research Question:
Does the drug SGX942 (Dusquetide) help treat mucositis.

Basic Study Information

Purpose:
This study is for people with squamous cell carcinoma (skin cancer) and mucositis. Mucositis is the painful inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract, usually as an adverse effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for cancer. This study will assess the efficacy of SGX942 compared to placebo in decreasing the duration of severe oral mucositis in patients receiving chemoradiation treatment for the treatment of head and neck cancer.
