The Landers’ commitment and dedication to the University is evident through their extensive volunteer leadership. They both serve on the Rochester Philanthropy Council and Peter serves on the Technology Development Fund Executive Committee. Additionally, Peter is a board member at the UR Medical Center and at the Memorial Art Gallery, while Kathleen is on the board of the Wilmot Cancer Institute.

Kathleen earned her bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Rochester. Peter earned his master of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Rochester. Their company, Landers Communities, is a full service local real estate company that develops, owns, and manages high quality apartment communities, senior housing, and commercial space in the greater Rochester area.  One of the company’s most notable projects includes the purchase and renovation of the former headquarters of Frontier Communications, now known as the 3 City Center.
