Stroke Stories

Shariffia Rosier

Endovascular Thrombectomy

Shariffia Rosier experienced a stroke when her youngest child was just 7 months old. When traditional treatments failed, she was saved by an endovascular thrombectomy, a minimally invasive procedure in which a catheter is used to deliver clot-busting drugs directly to the site of the blockage. After receiving this treatment, Shariffia's stroke symptoms disappeared. She has now gone back to a normal life as a mother of four.

"They used this new treatment to pull the clot out.  All of a sudden, I could talk again."
