About Me
At work, Kate especially enjoys getting to know a family across all its generations from premature newborns to great-grandparents. She prefers preventing illness to treating it and believes that it is her job to teach each patient about their illness and support them in making decisions that are right for them. As a pediatrician AND an internist, she is especially comfortable working with adults who have been ill since childhood.
After work, she spends too much time watching youth football, hockey, lacrosse and wrestling. She also enjoys working in the garden.

Dr. Deiss and her team were, as always, wonderful. From the time I checked in, through the wait which may have been about 5 minutes, the nurse performing the prelim stuff, Dr. Deiss and the time I spent with her and through checkout, it was a breeze. They are a very caring and professional team and a pleasure to have to have as my PCP.

Dr. Deiss is curt, cold and prickly. We have newPatient appointments with another PCP. She has not exhibited warmth with me at my appointments and she has been difficult with communications and needs for my teenage son.

I wish that the provider could communicate at the level of my education level. Many providers assume that most of the clients can understand medical terminology. Although I can understand and speak English, my understanding is below the sixth-grader education level. I encourage the provider to treat each patient individually to their education and understanding level. Effective communication can promote the quality of care. Thank you.

The receptionist at the front desk. She was very welcoming and apologetic because when I arrived for my appointment they were conducting a staff meeting that ran over their expected time.Dr. Deiss was very patient with me and my questions. This was my first visit and she educated me about my concerns vs just answering my questions. I felt much better emotionally and mentally due to her explanations which reduced my anxiety. I am very excited about having this office and Dr. Deiss as my new primary.

I walked out of the first appointment to establish care early and will not return. Dr. Deiss wrote a progress or appt note that blamed/gaslit me for the upset and omitted her own role and disrespectful behavior.
