Dr. V...
Dr. Vavrina's choice to be a family physician lies in her unyielding conviction that providing primary care entails knowing the entire story and understanding patients as individuals and treating them as such. Each patient has his/her own beliefs, values, culture and family. She believes it's her responsibility to treat patients within the context of their own life style. She strives to partner with her patients to provide a "whole-person" approach to diagnosis, treatment and care.
She enjoys providing care for her patients of all ages with a special interest in adolescent health, women's health and sports medicine. Dr. Vavrina also practices osteopathic manipulative medicine, which is a form of "hands on" medical diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments based on an in-depth understanding of the musculoskeletal, circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems.
On a personal note, Dr. Vavrina enjoys the greater Rochester area with her husband and children. She takes great pride that she grew up in Rochester and plans to raise her children in the same community. She loves being outdoors, cooking and drawing/crafting.

I was welcomed within minutes of arriving and brought directly to the examination room. Dr. Nicole Vavrina reviewed my current vitals and listened attentively to me. Dr. Vavrina was excellent! I came to the office as a follow-up to a recent hospital stay and she answered any questions I had about my lab results from the hospital as well as listened with empathy to additional concerns I had. She was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. Although Dr. Vavrina is not my "usual" PCP, she treated me as if I were.

This was actually my first visit with Nicole Vavrina. My previous UoR doctor was Dr. Marianne Taylor, who evidently left the UoR system, so both my wife and I were transferred to Nicole Vavrina, OD. We both were always very happy with Dr. Taylor, but this move was very well coordinated and a very smooth transition. My wife still has yet to have her first visit with Dr. Nicole Vavrina, but I am sure she will be very happy with our new primary care physician, Dr. Nicole Vavrina.

In all sincerity dr vavrina likely saved my life as I was dealing with an infection she told me what to watch out for regarding signs of [...] given my condition. My specialist ignored worsening symptoms but I remembered dr vavrina's stern advice, called the office and went to the ED where I was diagnosed with [...] but recovered quickly and was discharged (this visit was post discharge follow up). Dr Vavrina has always been awesome listening to my complicated history but this time more so and continues to be.

Dr. Vavrina is an amazing provider. She is understanding, compassionate, non-judgmental and just makes you feel so comfortable. She deserves all the recognition for the way she comes into the exam room and is focused and gives all her attention to her patient.
