About Me
From 1995 until 2000, Dr. Meloni served as a provider with the Independent Living for Seniors program and Hill Haven Nursing Home. He additionally served on the Board of Directors for St. Ann’s Home. Dr. Meloni has served as a primary care provider in the Rochester community since 1997 when he joined the team at Rochester General Hospital Medical Group. In 2000, he joined the Elmwood Medical Associates practice and continued to serve as a primary care provider serving adult and the elderly in the Rochester area. In addition to regularly seeing patients, he served as a preceptor helping to guide residents at both Unity and Rochester General Hospital.
Outside of his love for the practice of medicine, Dr. Stephen Meloni has remained active in his church and in the community. He has served as manager of the Pittsford Little League, a coach for baseball, and as a parish council member at St Louis Church. We are so fortunate that Dr. Meloni has maintained a faculty appointment with the University since 2014 and continues to teach medical students in addition to his role as a primary care provider.

Dr. Stephen Meloni, Alissa (his secretary) and Joel, R.N., were all top notch. I called in the morning due to a possible kidney stone and was seen at 1:20 pm that same day. They all treated me with care, concern and a high level of skill. Follow-up after my visit from Dr. Meloni was of his usual high caliber. Dr. Meloni sent me messages via My Chart as each test and x-ray result came back. Their care and professionalism went a long way in putting me at ease AND in quickly determining the cause of my pain. They're a great team!

Dr Meloni is an exceptional physician who I've seen for over 20 years. He is intuitive, empathetic and has a genuine interest in finding the best possible treatment for any and every medical condition. His vast knowledge of medicine and all things related is surpassed by no one I've ever known, but he uses his knowledge in practical and understandable ways. I trust him so much that he treats my husband and my son, and I convinced my brother and his family to switch to him as their physician. He never disappoints, is thorough and relatable, and I'm quite sure the reason I stay relatively healthy living with both crohns and diabetes is because he keeps me that way! He's simply a gem, both as a physician and a human. I'll never let anyone else manage my health care.

Dr. Meloni - awesome doctor. Male nurse gave me a tetanus shot - amazing - didn't feel the shot go in and has not been sore. First time ever. He was also great. Went back a couple days later for a Shingles vax - nurse saw me within 3 minutes of my arrival. Woman at front desk was friendly and funny. Nice way to start my visit. Then, got shot and was back in my car in 5 minutes. That was also a great experience.
