As a family physician, I strive to create a human
environment in my medical practice. I try to create a
place where my patients can express their concerns
freely and build lasting relationships. My patients
can be confident we will work as a team, not only for
routine cuts, runny noses, and vaccines. But also, for
any of the major challenges that life can throw our way.
Special Interests
My special interests include rural medicine, diabetes
care, behavioral health, contraception counseling.

Laura, Paula, and Dr. Carter are an amazing team. Any time I need anything I know I can count on the three of them to help me get it done. They're always so friendly and knowledgeable and I'm lucky to have them on my side. I've been coming to this office for decades and just switched over to Dr. Carter as my previous PCP is preparing to retire and I couldn't be happier with the care I receive.

Dr Jake Carter was wonderful. I do not remember the name of the nurse who began appt with me, but she was also wonderful.

I saw Dr Carter for the first time on [...] for a physical. I had just switched to this provider because I did not care for my previous provider's office. I do not like to visit doctor's office, but I was surprisingly at ease with this provider. He was very easy to talk to and I felt comfortable sharing my medical concerns with him.
