Dr Bernold is a faithful, smart, and caring doctor. He uses all of his knowledge and resources to help me achieve the highest and longest quality of life. He considers how I am feeling and what is most important to me in his treatment options/plan. I am very grateful he is handling my case.

Dr Bernold has done an excellent job of trying to manage a rare, difficult diagnosis. He has been honest, direct, caring, and understanding of the whole situation. He has included me in decisions. He is attentive to my concerns.

Would hope to NOT have to recommend someone for cancer treatment, but Sands Cancer Center would be at the top of my list if I did have to refer someone

My oncologist, Dr. Bernold, explains everything as clearly as possible. He never gives me false hope, but never takes away my hope. He is an incredible, knowledgeable, compassionate, professional doctor. He knows me and cares about me. I am blest to have him on this journey with me.

I would recommend Dr. Dirk Bernold to anyone who has a need for an oncologist. In fact, I was his patient in 2013 through 2018 and now since 2021. He is the one I looked for when I got a diagnosis of MBC.

Dr. Bernold is WONDERFUL! He explains everything to me in lay terms and calms any anxiety I feel if/when meds aren't working. He always shows concern, compassion and expertise on my cancer journey. I know that everything he does for me is the BEST care I can receive for my issue. I always feel positive when I visit and when I leave the center.

From the very first appointment back In 2009 through the present, Dr. Bernold has always been focused on my care and cure. Although I would have preferred not to have the issues in the first place, I'm very happy that Dr. Bernold has been by my side -- listening, directly communicating, recommending, treating, and following up. Always respectful, caring, thorough, and advocating on my behalf. He would be at the very top of any rating scale you offered!

When my cancer had progressed, Dr. Bernold gave me medication options and then calmly assured me that there are more treatment possibilities if needed. He is honest with me while still offering me hope. He's a very good oncologist and I'm grateful he's my doctor for this journey.
