Dr. Salloum, an Associate Professor at the University of Rochester Medical Center, received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and completed his surgical residency at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He then completed a fellowship in surgical metabolism and nutrition at the University of Florida and a fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Salloum is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, among several other professional societies. His areas of special interest are gastrointestinal surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, melanoma, and sarcoma.

I had been in Florida three times and left with medical issues unresolved. We knew my only resolution would be to drive the distance to get help from Team Strong". Indeed it came to fruition. Within 6 hours of arriving at the Sawgrass offices, I was seen by my gastroenterologist, my surgeon and had an MRI completed. Each component worked with each other amazingly to help determine what needed to be done. It was because of the amazing team that the pain I had suffered with for weeks was relinquished to allow me to leave pain free. I am forever thankful!!!!

Dr. Salloum is very aware of my history, a nurse I talked with over the phone told me I had a hernia, I thought I also did too. When Dr Salloum examined me he said it wasn't. What a relief!!! He did tell me that it's something medical that surgery won't fix. Waiting for GI clinic still to call I told him. He told me it was pancreatic insignificance, just like the Dr's told me at the Highland Hospital. I'm taking enzymes but nothing seems ro be working. I Thank Dr. Salloum for knowing me as a person and his patient. He's great
