Dr. Ullah admitted that he was not sure why my PCP had recommend that I see a specialist and that his expertise was not exactly what I needed. But he studied my chart and test results and seemed determined to give me the best advice he could. Then he said he would consult with colleagues with more experience. Later he called me himself to say he had ordered an additional blood test. It was very comforting to know that he would pursue my case after I had left the office and that he took time to contact me directly.

I see my primary care physician and 4 other specialists who each treat me for different problems. There seldom seems to be discussion with me about how these conditions may affect one another, and how that could affect my treatment. I am sure these doctors look at what other maladies I have listed, but some reference to possible connections between these bodily systems would help me feel that there is an overall analysis and treatment for me.
