The diagnosis of cancer affects not only a patient, but their family and friends as well. I chose the field of oncology to help those through this very difficult situation with compassion, respect, and dignity. As health care is becoming more complex, it is important not to lose focus on patient distress, financial toxicities, and quality of life. Working with a multidisciplinary team we will provide the best quality of care and patient-centered approach for you and your loved ones. My primary clinical focus is lung cancer (including small cell, non-small cell lung cancer, and mesothelioma), & head and neck cancer. We are always addressing unmet clinical needs with clinical research trials in order to provide cutting edge medical treatments and push the field of oncology in order to better serve our patients. My research interests include thoracic oncology, quality improvement, patient distress, and education.
