Overview

We offer an array of short-term, intermediate and long-term mental health services and treatments for bi-lingual or Spanish-speaking persons.

At Lazos Fuertes, we offer evaluation and medication management for established patients, as well as individual, family, couples and group counseling. We provide care to patients ages 18 and over experiencing, but not limited to:

Mood disorders
Anxiety disorders
Acute stress reactions to major precipitants
Obsessive compulsive disorder
PTSD and trauma
Panic disorders
Psychotic disorders

At Sobriedad Fuerte, we offer treatment for patients ages 14 and over with a primary substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders.

Lazos Fuertes

We offer individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric medication evaluation and medication management (for patients enrolled in Mental Health & Wellness services), and psychological testing (for established patients).

All services are provided by a bi-lingual psychiatrist, psychologists and therapists. We serve as a training site for psychiatric residents and other student/learners.

Sobriedad Fuerte

Strong Recovery provides outpatient treatment for substance use and related mental health disorders. We serve anyone 14 and older, using a team approach to empower individuals to choose their path to recovery.

We offer Sobriedad Fuerte to meet the unique needs of our Latino population with a primary substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders.

What Sets Us Apart?

Lazos Fuertes was launched as the first Spanish-language mental health clinic in Rochester. Over 20 years later, the clinic has grown considerably and is also now a training site for Spanish-language psychiatry residents and trainees. The clinic has a unique collaboration with the Latino community of Rochester.

Some Lazos Fuertes patients receive primary care at our Medicine in Psychiatry Service office, delivered in a cultural- and language-sensitive manner by bilingual providers.
