Two Approaches to Care
1) You can enjoy a private practice setting, where patients are seen just by faculty, or 2) a clinic setting that offers lower rates, where care is provided by supervised residents (dentists getting advanced, specialized training).

but the basic policy covers a good portion of preventive services such as oral exam, x-rays, emergency treatment and cleanings. It also covers a portion of basic and major restorative work, such as fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, periodontic/gum treatment, dentures, partials and oral surgery. The Medallion policy covers the same services, plus sealants, and a good portion of orthodontics/braces and implants. Insurance for oral medicine varies; questions will be addressed individually.
