Trauma Injury Prevention
We believe that the best way to treat an injury is to prevent one from happening. The Injury Prevention Program is committed to preventing injuries and deaths. The Kessler Trauma Program offers these injury prevention programs:
Safety Tips for Teenage Drivers
As a parent, you have a responsibility to keep your teenage drivers - and those they share the road with - safe. Discuss and comply with the NYS Graduated Driver Licensing Law. Talk to your kids about good driving practices.
Elderly Home Care Safety Checklist
The risk of falling is not the only hazard faced by the elderly. There are many risks and precautions worth knowing about to keep senior citizens safe, especially if they are living independently. They range from ensuring adequate lighting over stoves to having emergency numbers next to every phone. Others include wearing proper shoes, padding sharp corners of low-rise furniture, keeping space heaters at a safe distance from flammable materials, and more.
