Continuing Medical Education (CME) The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) offers a diverse and multi-faceted array of CME activities, and ensures that any URMC-sponsored activity receiving AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM meets the standards established by the ACCME. We are committed to developing, organizing and implementing quality interdisciplinary educational activities that incorporate basic science concepts, clinical practice, recent literature, and scientific research perspectives on the best currently accepted clinical practices. Open to URMC staff and the health care community at large, our CME activities fulfill the continuing education requirements of physicians (clinicians, primary care physicians, specialists, clinical sub specialists), nurses and other health care professionals. Types of activities mounted under the guidance of course directors include, but are not limited to: didactic presentations and seminars, hands-on skill workshops, faculty development, regional lecture series, grand rounds, video conferencing, interactive online materials, and more. Our team is fully versed in the requirements for planning and organizing an activity, helping to ensure that all needs are met for proper certification through accrediting organizations. Through MyCME, an online tool for managing your participation in URMC CME activities, you can easily download transcripts, complete evaluations, obtain certificates, and maintain your profile, registrations and disclosures.
