Gynecology Course

GYN coursePeri-FACTS's Gynecology Course is a value added component to the Obstetric and Fetal Monitoring Course and the Antepartum/Postpartum Course. At no additional cost, this course includes one article and one test addressing a clinical topic either gynecology, GYN oncology, reproductive endocrinology, or urogynecology. Participants have the opportunity to complete 12 modules each year.

  • The Peri-FACTS online Gynecology Course is based on a 12-month curriculum. Each month, ob/gyn nurse and physician specialists at the University of Rochester Medical Center and a broad range of medical specialists who, in addition to their clinical duties, prepare and distribute the following:
    • One article devoted to a gynecologic topic
    • One review test that relates to the gynecologic topic
  • This course is offered exclusively online and is available anywhere Internet access is available.
  • Nurse participants have the opportunity to complete 12 modules each year. A module consists of one article and one review test. An average of 1 nursing contact hour is awarded upon successful completion of each module in the Gynecology Course.
  • Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and midwives can earn up to 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits per year for the Gynecology Course.
  • Clinically relevant articles, prepared by a broad range of experts, are posted on the first day of every month.
  • Participants read the article and complete the review test and evaluation online. All test questions are in a multiple choice, true/false, multiple-answer, or matching format. Tests are corrected automatically and participants receive immediate feedback on their test results.
