"Got Health?" - Community-based Health Talks

The Center sponsors FREE health talks calledGot Health? to help community members get and stay healthy. The talks cover basic health information and are delivered in easy-to-understand language, with plenty of time for questions and answers. They take place in community settings, such as places of worship, recreation centers, and libraries.

Upcoming talk

"Put Hemorroids and Constipation Behind You". Thursday May 16, 2013 at the Central Library of Rochester, 115 South Avenue 12:10-12:50pm. Nurse Practitioners Ellen Schmidt, Marcia Dinsmore and Margaret Odhner from the University of Rochester Medical Center will lead an open and direct discussion about the signs,symptoms and causes of hemorrhoids and constipation as well as prevention and treatment. Parking meters are available on side streets or you can park in the Court Street Garage for only $1.00 or for free if you have a library card.
