What is Vulvar Cancer?

Cancer can occur anywhere in the vaginal or vulvar area, and is frequently caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The vagina, which serves as the birth canal, is a tube that spans three to four inches in length and extends from the uterus opening to the body's exterior. The vulva, the outer region, encompasses the external genitalia, such as the inner and outer lips of the vagina, the clitoris, and the perineum.
