Welcome to the Cold Storage Core
The CSC is a large area located in room 7-8802 which provides a controlled environment designed for the long-term storage of clinical/research materials in -20ºC or -80ºC freezers. Freezers are tied into the University's alarm system; however, occupants are responsible for their own freezers. The core also has four spare -80ºC freezers maintained by facilities that can be used by anyone in the University for emergencies. These spares are for short-term use (less than one month) while malfunctioning freezers are being repaired or replaced. Please contact the director of the core, Carrie Dykes, if you have any questions.
