Karen Crotinger, MS, CPMSM, CPCS
Karen Crotinger is the Director of the University of Rochester Medical Center Credentials Verification Organization, as well as URMC Physician Services. Karen has been in this position for over 12 years, and has been in the healthcare industry for over 28 years. At the UR Medical Center, Karen has been the key resource in moving the medical credentialing process from being a paper process to being totally electronic - resulting in measurably increased revenue by efficiently getting the providers to work (and bill) on their start date.
Karen was recently honored at the Morrisey User Conference with the Quest for Quality Award for her collaborative spirit and achievements in the respective areas related to the use of Morrisey’s medical credentialing software platform.
Karen is also a national consultant on the implementation and use of electronic processes to expedite medical credentialing in hospitals throughout the United States. Assignments have ranged from small institutions to major healthcare systems.Credentialing Specialists:
