Ambulatory Dental Surgical Services at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong

The Division of Pediatric dentistry at the University of Rochester Medical Center plays an integral part in addressing dental and oral diseases in children and adolescents across Central and Western New York. The hospital service performs dental surgery cases under general anesthesia in the Mildred Levine Pediatric Surgical Suite at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong. General anesthesia is administered by pediatric anesthesiologists from the Department of Anesthesiology.

The Pediatric dentistry service specializes in the care of young children from underserved communities with extensive dental decay. Children and teenagers with developmental disabilities and complex medical conditions also have timely access to receive treatment in this setting This service also receives patient referrals from community pediatric dentists to render care under general anesthesia for patients from their practices.

If you feel that your patient requires dental surgery in this setting, please fax a referral form to June Rouse at 585-442-7504. Please instruct your patient to call 585-275-6051 to set up a consultation appointment at Eastman Dental, the primary clinic site for the Division of Pediatric Dentistry.

We provide a multi-discipline approach to a wide range of Orthodontic needs; from simple to complicated cases in children and adults including Craniofacial birth dysmorphology leading to jaw disfigurement and thereby more severe malocclusion and growth problems. Our residents receive instruction and supervision from well recognized faculty supervisors, who are highly respected professionals. Call 585-275-5051, Press option 3 and then option 3 again. Prosthodontics and Periodontics

A periodontist focuses on treating the structures that support your teeth and in placing dental implants. We have expertise in gum disease, which is often the underlying cause of unhealthy or missing teeth.

A prosthodontist specializes in restoring or replacing teeth, through implants, veneers, crowns, bridges and other methods. Prosthodontists are the key to a smile that not only looks great, but functions well, too.

Many providers refer patients to Eastman Dental Prosthodontics and/or Periodontics for our specialty expertise and/or because the pricing is 30-50% less, compared to many private practices. Feel free to refer your patients to us or call us directly at 585-275-1147.
