Overview

Our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term treatment for stabilizing mental health symptoms that have gotten significantly worse and are affecting safety or daily functioning. This program helps to reduce symptoms so that patients ages 18 years and older can resume functioning and be more successful in outpatient treatment. It can often be a good alternative to, or transition from, an inpatient psychiatric admission.

The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is for people at least 18 years of age who are:

  • Experiencing serious symptoms of a psychiatric disorder—such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or others—that may be impairing their ability to function safely
  • Not succeeding in a traditional outpatient setting
  • Motivated to take part in a group-based treatment setting on a daily basis for one to two weeks
  • Committed to ending any substance abuse
  • Dedicated to learning healthy coping skills to manage symptoms

Services

Individuals in our program receive partial hospitalization services including:

  • Five group treatment sessions per day, Monday through Friday
  • Individual therapist contact, one to two times per week
  • Safety planning
  • Medication assessment and management
  • Education and support for patients and families
  • Coordination of care with other providers
  • Discharge planning to other healthcare providers
  • Referral to mental health follow-up
