Peri-FACTS is an ongoing, quality, continuing education program for obstetric care providers that serves as an excellent risk management tool. Distributed weekly to subscribers via the Internet or E-mail, Peri-FACTS provides up-to-date information on commonly encountered obstetric issues and the principles of fetal heart rate monitoring using a combination of clinical case studies and didactic reading materials.

Although principally directed at nursing education, the clinical case studies and didactic reading materials generate considerable discussion between nurses, residents, and attending physicians. This interaction encourages and fosters a cooperative and collegial learning environment among all obstetric care providers, which in turn leads to improved patient outcomes.

The Peri-FACTS Channel is a new, free addition to the Peri-FACTS program .
Available only to our online participants, The Peri-FACTS Channel presents short, educational videos. Some of these videos review the principles of fetal heart rate monitoring interpretation. Others focus on obstetric or newborn care. The Peri-FACTS Channel is produced by our staff and filmed in our Peri-FACTS studio in Rochester, N.Y., and is availble only through the Peri-FACTS program.
