URMC Labs meets or exceeds the highest standard for quality. We are subject to the rigorous standards of excellence set by the University of Rochester Medical Center. We also meet all regulatory requirements of the New York State Department of Health, the College of American Pathologists and the Joint Commission. All of our employees receive training to ensure that the laboratory services we provide are in compliance with all applicable regulations, with a particular focus on reimbursement under federally-funded programs like Medicare and Medicaid and compliance with HIPAA and OSHA.
