Case 2: Submandibular Neck FNASorry, this was not a reactive lymph node. Reactive lymph nodes are fairly cellular on FNA and show a spectrum of cell types from small lymphocytes to large activated immunoblasts (slides 1-3). Germinal center fragments and tangible body macrophages are commonly present. The polymorphous cell population is the most helpful feature (slide 4).
