The Rochester Cytopathology ConsortiumThe consortium was formed in response to the American Society of Cytology's establishment of Centers of Excellence in Cytology Education. Although the ASC has discontinued its program, the consortium has continued as a regional center for cytology training. The consortium combines the resources of Rochester General Hospital, a member of the Via Health Network, with 526 beds and 117,000 cytology specimens examined each year; and Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester Medical Center, with 715 beds and 95,000 cytology specimens examined annually. |
