Welcome to the web site for the Perkins lab, in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, at the University of Rochester Medical Center. We are conducting basic biomedical research on cancer, specifically focusing on two areas, leukemia and mammary cancer.
This work was begun in the Department of Pathology at Yale University. Lab members working on leukemia research at Yale are/were Bogdan Yatsula, Ph.D.; Kimberly Lezon-Geyda, Ph.D.; Jacob Del Campo, Ph.D.; and Sharon Lin. Lab members working on mammary cancer at Yale are/were: Gouri Chatterjee, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral positions are available immediately at the University
of Rochester to investigate molecular mechanisms in acute myeloid
leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome using the mouse as a
model system. Our lab focuses on the zinc finger oncoprotein
EVI1, and has developed a number of genetic models to investigate
its function. Please send CV and names of three references
to Archibald S. Perkins, M.D., Ph.D., at archibald_perkins@URMC.rochester.edu.
