URMC Labs provides Central Lab services to assist researchers in clinical trials. Our central lab is now located in a new, state-of-the-art facility that is exclusively devoted to clinical trials. Here, we have created a culture where researchers talk to researchers, providing the guidance and advice that will help your trials run more smoothly and efficiently.

Histology services for basic researchers

The Department offers a full range of histology services for researchers, including special stains and immunocytochemistry. Services are available at a per-slide rate, or special arrangements may be made to charge supplies and effort directly to a research project.

Investigators who will be using human tissue from the URMC Labs need to complete a request form that is signed off by the Director of Surgical Pathology and the Director of the Research Subjects Review Board:
