Michael Rothberg graduated in 2006 from University of Rochester with a B.S. in neuroscience and B.A. in psychology. Michael Rothberg graduated in 2006 from University of Rochester with a B.S. in neuroscience and B.A. in psychology. He then earned his M.D. at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He remained in Detroit to complete his residency training in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. He took his first hospitalist position in 2013 at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, serving as Associate Chief Hospitalist from 2015-2016. He was trained as an Epic Super User and continued serving on committees involved in use and improvement to Epic for physicians. He also developed a Geographic Rounding Committee which created his hospital’s first geographic rounding model. In February 2019, he returned to University of Rochester to join the Hospital Medicine Division as Nocturnist and Nocturnist Medical Director.
