She completed her Master's of Science at the St. John Fisher University in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2022. Danette strives to provide compassionate and individualized care for patients as a consumer focused professional with expertise in building strong relationships and patient advocacy.
She completed a Bachelor's of Science in nursing degree at University of Rochester in 2013 and a Bachelor’s of Science in biology in 2010 at the University at Albany. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Danette was a registered nurse at URMC for 9 years where she worked inpatient on an Acute Care Medicine unit and outpatient at UR Medicine Urgent Care Centers. During this time Danette earned her certification in the field of Medical Surgical Nursing and served as a unit based Patient Safety Nurse and infection prevention Liaison. Danette has a passion for evidence based research and assisted in implementing patient safety initiatives on the Medical Surgical Service with the goal of reducing medication infusion errors. She presented her work with evidence-based practice initiatives at a national conference hosted by the Academy of Medical Surgical Nursing (AMSN) in 2019.
