Clinton Medical Associates would like to welcome Dr. Andrea Ferrantino to our practice! Dr. Ferrantino is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Geriatric Medicine. A native of Rochester, Dr. Ferrantino received her medical degree, completed her residency in Internal Medicine and completed her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Ferrantino believes in forming a collaborative partnership with her patients to improve their health and well-being. Her special interests include geriatric medicine and preventive care. In her free time she enjoys exercising, traveling, exploring new types of food, cooking, spending time outdoors and spending time with her husband and family.

Practice Description
Founded in 1980, we are an Internal Medicine practice providing medical care for adult patients over the age of 17. Our physicians are all board certified in Internal Medicine. Our physician assistants and our entire staff are dedicated to providing individualized, attentive care in a comfortable and professional surrounding. We work with you and the important people in your life to develop a plan for health promotion and health care that meets your individual needs. We share a commitment to patient care which is built on long term collaborative and respectful relationships.
Clinton Medical Associates is an affiliate of the University of Rochester Medical Center, providing us with access to the area's top specialists. We have partnered with the Strong Memorial and Highland Hospital hospitalist services to provide our patients with inpatient care at both these University of Rochester Medical Center hospitals.

Appointment Information
We see patients by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment by calling during office hours.
We understand that you can't plan when you'll get sick, so we try to keep our appointment times flexible to meet your needs. We will try to schedule a sick appointment on the same day you call.
Your cooperation in arriving on time for your appointment helps us stay on schedule. We strive to provide each patient with the highest quality care. In the event that our schedule is delayed, please rest assured that you too will get personalized attention during your appointment.
If you must cancel your appointment for any reason, please call at least 24 hours in advance. That will allow us to offer the appointment to another patient.
First Time Patients:
- Please arrive 15 minutes early from your scheduled appointment to allow for registration and paperwork.
- To save time, fill out our new patient registration form and bring it with you.
- Before your first appointment, call your previous doctor's office and have your records transferred to us.
- If your insurance company requires you to notify them when you change doctors, please call them with the name of your new primary care doctor.
What to Bring To Your Appointment
- Your medical and drug insurance cards.
- A list of your current medications (with dosages), including any over-the-counter medications or supplements you have taken in the past six months.
Prescription Refills
Please allow 24 hours for all prescription refills.
Call your pharmacy and ask them to transmit the refill request to us electronically or at 585-341-4220. The pharmacy will provide us with all the information needed to refill your prescription.
Because controlled substance prescriptions cannot be refilled over the phone, please make sure you always have enough medication for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Emergencies/Hospitalizations
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room and have the hospital notify our office or the physician on call.
Most insurance plans require prior approval of all emergency room visits. Please call our office at 585-341-7685 before obtaining these services.
Clinton Medical Associates admits patients to Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital.
Our practice has partnered with the Strong Memorial and Highland Hospital Hospitalist Services .
After Hour Care
Clinton Medical Associates provides 24-hour telephone coverage for emergencies and urgent problems. If you have an emergency/urgent problem after regular office hours, please call your doctor's phone number or you can call our answering service directly at 585-258-3320. The answering service will ask for information about your medical problem, will take your phone number, and have the doctor call you back.
Billing
Co-payments should be made at the time of your visit. You can pay with cash, personal check or credit card and you now have the ability to pay your hospital or physician bill online at Online Bill Pay.
You will be billed for any services not covered by your insurance company.
If you have questions regarding your bill, please call the number listed on the bill and the staff will be happy to answer your questions.
Insurance
We accept most types of insurance including Excellus Blue Cross-Blue Shield, MVP, Aetna, Medicare, Medicaid as well as others.
Please notify our office if your insurance coverage changes. Bring your insurance card with you to your appointment; we will need the new information printed on your insurance card.
We are committed to providing excellent health care for everyone. Financial hardships should never stop you from getting the medical care you need. The Charity Care Program helps those who are unable to pay medical bills. URMC Teaches
The physicians at Clinton Medical Associates are board certified in Internal Medicine. As faculty members of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, our physicians participate in the teaching of medical students and residents, and continue their own learning by participation in hospital teaching conferences, meetings and other educational activities.
As part of our doctors' teaching responsibilities, medical students and residents may occasionally be present in the office seeing patients. They are directly supervised by your doctor.
If you prefer not to have a student or resident involved in your appointment, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you.
