A clinical summary of the patient's course of fillness, along with a record of treatments tried is extremely helpful.  The refering psychiatrist shold call Dr. Brewer at (585) 273-2554.

Patients undergoing ECT treament will receive a complete medical evaluiation, including anesthesia consultation. Psychiatrists and anesthesiologists supervise the administration of ECT.  Both inpatients and outpatients can receive ECT treatments. During the completion of a course of ECT treatment, patients continue to see their referring psychiatrists for concurrent management.
